Bentley Continental Flying Spur
28-02-2006

The Mulliner Driving Specification is now available for the Bentley Continental Flying Spur as part of an array of enhancements for the 2007 model year Continental range. The Continental Flying Spur and its stablemate the Continental GT coupé, which have played a key role in Bentley’s revitalisation, now offer customers even more style, comfort and technology as well as the ability to specify a car to their individual needs.

The Mulliner Driving Specification was first introduced on the Continental GT coupé in 2004 and has been a major success with customers who prefer their Bentley with a more overtly sporting, contemporary character. Designed by Bentley’s bespoke coachbuilding division, the Mulliner Driving Specification now becomes available on Bentley’s four-door Grand Tourer, the Continental Flying Spur.

The Mulliner Driving Specification package comprises:

– 20-inch 2-piece, 7-spoke alloy sports wheels with 275/35 R20 sport tyres

– Drilled alloy sports foot pedals and footrest

– Sporting gear lever finished in knurled chrome and hide

– Diamond quilted and indented hide to seat facings, front and rear doors.

– Embroidered ‘Bentley’ marque emblem to head rests

– Indented hide headlining

– Dark-stained Burr Walnut or Piano Black veneer available at no extra cost.

2007 model year Continental Flying Spur

Several key areas of the Continental Flying Spur specification are enhanced for the 2007 model year. The standard-fit satellite navigation system is now DVD-based and features post code-entry programming. It replaces the previous CD-based system. Advantages of the DVD-based system include faster input and response times and a greater disc capacity, allowing, for example, the whole of Europe to be mapped on a single disc. The Continental Flying Spur will also feature the latest in wireless telecommunications with an integrated BluetoothTM remote SIM access profile (rSAP) telephone system as standard. A rear-seat telephone is now available as an optional feature.

A new 19-inch, 5-spoke alloy wheel design becomes standard fitment on Continental Flying Spur, enhancing its sporting credentials. The wheels are available with optional chromed finish at extra cost. A new 19-inch 5-spoke alloy wheel with a bright-machined or chromed (at extra cost) finish is now available as an option.

In true Bentley tradition, the Continental Flying Spur customer will now be able to create a bespoke car with the introduction of Bentley’s exterior paint-matching service that allows the creation of a truly unique colour palette. The 2007 model year Continental Flying Spur may also be specified in any colour from the current Arnage range of paint colours. This brings the Continental Flying Spur into line with the Continental GT coupé.

Veneered picnic tables are introduced as an extra cost option to the rear of both front seats and are available in the full range of veneers, including the newly introduced Chestnut. This takes the number of available veneers on Continental Flying Spur to seven. Customers may also now specify optional contrast stitching to the leather hides and choose to match the boot carpet to the cabin interior carpets.
