Since its launch in 2005, Daihatsu's Sirion has enjoyed great
popularity in both domestic and overseas markets, achieving total
sales of 31,000 units in Europe. With its compact appearance,
spacious passenger compartment and lively styling, Sirion is highly
popular among users who enjoy an active lifestyle. Sirion now
features a more powerful and aggressive new model, the Sirion Sport.
Exterior/Interior
The most attractive feature of the front design is the large grille, the lower
end of which is just a few inches above the ground. This distinctive front
grille and lowered posture combine to give Sirion Sport an aura of dignity.
When seen through the rear-view mirror of the car in front of it, the
strong presence of the Sirion Sport will attract the front driver's attention.
In designing the rear, the designer gave the Sirion Sport a firm look
by specifying a blackout coating for the lower part of the bumper.
Shining out against the sheer black are two mufflers. Located under
the bumper on both sides, the mufflers emphasize the well-balanced,
stable posture of this model.
To create a sedate atmosphere in the passenger compartment, black
and grey are used as the basic colours for the interior components.
The seat upholstery stitching is of a hue matching the body colour.
These colour selections give the Sirion Sport a sporty and stylish look.
The door trims are augmented by design accents that harmonize well
with the upholstery stitching. The combination meter, designed
exclusively for the Sirion Sport, is there to enhance driving enjoyment.
Mechanism
When you feel like going for a drive in a Sirion Sport, its 1.5-litre
specially tuned engine gives you a surplus of driving power that enables
you to enjoy a smooth and energetic run on any road. The 16-inch
tyres and four-wheel disc brakes enhance that driving enjoyment.
