Mercedes-Benz M-Class  "Inspiration"

The "Inspiration" is a limited-edition version of the highly popular Mercedes-Benz M-Class. The new "Inspiration" will appear in a limited edition at the end of 2002, featuring exclusive specification designed to appeal to a discerning clientele. 17-inch alloy wheels, size 275/75 R 17 wide tyres, the silver-painted, chrome-trimmed radiator grille from the high-end ML 55 AMG model and a body-coloured air intake grille in the front bumper give the exterior strong eye appeal. Five attractive metallic paintwork shades are available: brilliant silver, obsidian black, black, tanzanite blue and travertine beige. An emblem on the rub strips is a further distinctive touch.
Leather-trimmed seats, door panels and armrest

Finest-quality "anthracite" leather upholstery, with light-grey top-stitching, underpins the luxurious ambience in the interior. This material is used on the front sports seats, which are taken from the ML 55 AMG, the door panels, the steering wheel, the armrest between the front seats and the gearshift.

Black poplar wood veneer from the Mercedes-Benz designo range, soft floor mats featuring the "Inspiration" emblem and light-grey top-stitching, and circular instruments with discreet chrome rings and white needles complete the luxurious interior ambience of this special-edition model. Mercedes customers can strike further individual notes by selecting from the wide range of high-quality, innovative optional extras for the M-Class, virtually all of which is available for the "Inspiration".

New ML 350 (180 kW/245 hp)

The special-edition model is available with the familiar five, six and eight-cylinder engines, whose output ratings range from 120 kW/163 hp to 215 kW/292 hp. New in the engine line-up is the redeveloped six-cylinder petrol unit of the ML 350, which replaces the previous ML 320. This V6 unit develops 180 kW/245 hp and delivers its peak torque of 350 Newton metres - an increase of eleven per cent - upwards of 3000 rpm.
