The "E-Boost" high-performance hybrid propulsion system powering Concept-E also achieves an ideal balance between driving and environmental performance as it delivers breath-taking acceleration while returning low fuel consumption and low emission levels.
At a press conference held at the Show on January 5, Ulrich Walker, executive vice president of Mitsubishi Motors Corporation said of the concept vehicle: "The E-Boost system that powers Eclipse Concept-E proves that as well as being environment-friendly for the improvements in fuel consumption and emissions it brings, hybrid technology can also deliver pure driving pleasure by exploiting the electric motors' characteristics to produce exhilarating acceleration."
